Spicy Kale Guacamole

Yield: 4-8 servings


  • 4 medium avocados, pitted and peeled

  • 1 cup curly kale leaves (ribs removed), thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion, plus more to taste

  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, plus more to taste

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground chile powder

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste

  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper


  1. In a bowl, mash all of the guacamole ingredients together, and tweak lime juice and salt to taste. 

  2. Enjoy with veggie sticks or dollop atop an entree
